Virtual First Responder & Military Counselling in Alberta

Confidential, trauma-informed support for those who serve under pressure.

First responders and military personnel are routinely exposed to high-stress environments. Over time, operational demands can affect sleep, mood, relationships, and overall well-being.

At Brintnell Counselling & Psychology, we offer licensed virtual counselling across Alberta for first responders, active service members, veterans, and their families.

Virtual. Discreet. Alberta-wide support.

Supporting First Responders & Military Communities Across Alberta

First responders and military personnel across Alberta operate in environments that demand rapid decision-making, emotional control, and sustained exposure to high-stress situations. Police officers, RCMP members, firefighters, paramedics, correctional staff, active Canadian Armed Forces members, and veterans often encounter critical incidents and operational pressures that most civilians do not experience.

Over time, repeated exposure to stress and trauma can influence sleep, mood, concentration, and relationships. Some individuals notice symptoms associated with operational stress injuries or trauma-related concerns. Others may feel increasing irritability, emotional distance, or difficulty adjusting during career transitions or reintegration into civilian life.

We recognize the complexity of these roles and the culture surrounding them. Seeking counselling can feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable, particularly in professions that emphasize resilience and self-reliance. Our clinicians provide virtual counselling across Alberta in a confidential and structured environment where clients can speak openly without judgment.

All appointments are currently offered online, allowing first responders and military personnel in both urban and rural Alberta communities to access support without travel. In-person services are expected to resume in June 2026 when our new Edmonton clinic opens.
